Today I saw my child's sexual abuser..........and the feelinds start.

today has not been too good.

yesterday, while i was in sydney for the day with a friend (to have a break and do a girlie shopping day)..............i received a phone call from my brother to inform me that a very special cousin of mine in italy had committed suicide.

i was devastated, she was so special and we had been close.. so here i was driving back from sydney last night knowing a loved one was dead!

Oh , Bliss what a miserable day you had.

So sorry about your cousin and I can't even imagine how upset you were to see your childs abuser.

I'm trying to look deep inside myself and wonder how much rage, hate, anger I would have towards this person and I'm scaring myself just thinking about it. I start shaking inside thinking about it.

There is nothing good about child abuse and to think he might be lining up his next victim is just plain sick! sick! sick.

I didn't know there was a particular way to make tea.

I really want to know. Seriously, what is the proper way to make tea? If you would be so kind, thanks..

Mine is always, boil the water.. put my tea bag in a mug, pour in the hot water and let it steep in my mug until it's the way I like it then squish the bag with my spoon and take it out. Add a "spot" of milk. and then drink it.

We have one of those Alligator/crocodile slides.

A long sheet of plastic about 4 feet wide with a hoop that goes over it about 3/4 ways up. You hook the hose up to the hoop and the water goes through it and shoots water in both directions up and down the slide... to keep everything wet and slippery. Hanging down from the hoop is a crocodile big mouth.

So, you get a good run on and once you hit the sheet of wet plastic you jump and torpedoe head first..sliding..zooom.. and rocket through the crocodiles mouth into a small pool of water. YEAH!!!! Next.

Kids are the best.

Home Alone

here i am home alone........ my hubby works out of town from time to time...it never fails, how even though i am dead tired..i get in bed and think i "hear" something or "see" something....geez...you would think i was 10...scared to death...lol.

i guess i just don't like being in an empty house...does anyone here really like being alone at night???.

I'm old now...(LOL) and I relish anytime I have alone to myself. Seems to be the calm in the storm of chaos within a busy family for me.

When I was about 12 years old. My parents and sibblings left me at home one night. They went to a meeting. Anyway, I was laying in bed and I heard this crash downstairs, and I too thought it was a burglar who would eventually come up the stairs and get me.

So, I hid under the covers. After a minute or two, I decided that hiding in the bed under the covers, well that would be the first place he would look. So, I got up and got under the bed.. as I heard another crash downstairs.

After a few minutes, I got mad and said to myself. "Well, if he's gonna get me, it won't be without a good fight.". DAMN, him!! So, I took the hunk of hard wood from under my bed (don't ask why that was there) and creeped down the stairs in the dark. Slowly, slowly into the kitchen with my chunk of wood held high, ready to swing. If I just got one good crack, maybe...

As I peered into the kitchen, I could see mom's plants, that had been up in the window, were smashed on the floor. The curtain rod was hanging half down from the wall. There was potting soil all over the place. What a mess!

What the hell is this? I thought, .. a burglar come to steal mom's plants?

as I saw our cat make another thunderous jump and hurl itself at the window pane with it's claws and teeth . What the hell, is going on with this cat? Did my brother, put tape on it's rear end..(he's known for that)? Stupid kid brothers! The cat is totally beserk!!!! and makes another rush at the window whilst spinnning in the potting soil...SLAM.. into the window. When my parents and sibblings left the house, they left the outside light on. The light sort of hangs down just outside the kitchen window. The moths are attracted to the light and the cat is going crazy trying to get the moths.. but they are on the outside of the window.

So there you go codeblue, It truly was a "CAT-BURGLAR".

Suicide Prevention

i just wanted to drop a quick note.

last thursday a good friend of mine jumped off of a freeway overpass and killed herself.

ironically it was the same overpass that just 5 years before i had stood atop and climbed the fence with similar thoughts in my head when my family had initially disowned me.

I'm so sorry you have had this happen to someone you know.

It's bad enough when you hear about someone you don't know. If I were you, I would be numb, too.

Life's curve balls sometimes seem impossible to catch and know that each of us are in part responsible for our own actions.

I had a job for sometime that put me in the front line to catch alot of very overwhelmed women and have had some experience in bringing some off of bridges and taking away loaded guns and removing dangerous drugs from homes.

Again, I really understand why you feel numb. I think the body goes into a kind of shock response as such to protect the overwhelming-ness of it all. Actually our bodies are very smart in trying to protect us.

Your account of what happened after she jumped off the bridge was overwhelming as well. So very sad.

You take care of yourself, girl.

Although, I know I'm not in the closer circle of your friends on the forum, I know you have lots of support and friends who will be there for you.

I'm glad you could post about it and I will light my tea light for you, when I have my 3 o'clock tea. Good vibes going your way, Chevy.
